QLD: Improving the Visibility and Safety of Pedestrians, Road workers, and Cyclists

Improving the Visibility and Safety of Pedestrians, Road workers, and Cyclists
The School of Optometry (QUT) and the Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety: Queensland (CARRS-Q), in conjunction with the Visitor Research Centre (UQ), Queensland Transport and the Department of Main Roads are undertaking a comprehensive research program.

The research involves the collection of information on the beliefs of recreational and competitive cycling groups regarding issues of visibility. The questionnaire is strictly confidential and anonymous and you need not answer a question if you consider it too personal. The questionnaire should take about 5 minutes to complete.

If you have any concerns about the ethical conduct of this research, you may contact the Research Ethics Officer of the QUT Research Ethics Committee on 3864-2340. Your responses will be used to design educational materials and visibility aids that will improve the visibility and safety practices of ALL road users. Your involvement in this research will help to reduce the number of serious accidents occurring on Queensland roads and make them safer for everyone.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our site. We are very interested in your opinions, experiences and perceptions of the visibility and safety of different road user groups. If you are interested in taking part in this research please select your road user type below to continue. If you would like to enter a draw for the chance to win a cycle jersey (cyclists) or a double movie pass (drivers and pedestrians), please be sure to enter your contact details on the final page of the survey.
