As you can read, there’s plenty of cycling news on this website, so please feel free check under these categories for recent updates: Positive Spin :: Opinion Pieces/Articles :: Cyclist Incidents :: Road Safety Issues

Wheels of Justice joins the Bicycle Federation of Australia
Wheels of Justice are joining the BFA as a member organisation. We look forward to a long and productive working relationship with Australia’s peak bicycle advocacy organisation. Wheels of Justice totally supports the role and purposes of the BFA continuing to advocate cycling issues at a national level.

Proposal by MRAA concerning motorcyclists sharing onroad bicycle lanes
We’re received correspondence from the BFA regarding the recent proposal of sharing bicycle lanes with motorcyclists: Motorbike riders want access to cycle lanes. They have also discussed the issue with the Cycling Promotion Fund and have decided to talk to the motorcycle lobby and put a cyclists point of view, ie: safety concerns and the possibility of discussing this issue further with the Australian Bicycle Council. We’ll keep you informed of any further developments.

Ride of Silence Teleconference on July 6th
Apologies for posting this a tad late, but on Friday July 6th, I partook in a international phone hookup with the US Ride of Silence crew. Actually, it was more luck than organising anything, I simply read the email and rang in on Friday morning! Sorted out a few differences of opinion, the Southern Hemisphere RoS date is now officially 10am start time on Saturday, May 19, 2007, instead of the Northern Hemispheres Wednesday night date. So pencil it in and get organising for 2007!
