New England News: Man faces citations after crash killed girl on bicycle

A 33-year-old man is cited for his alleged involvement in an accident that killed a ten-year-old girl who was riding her bike in Foxborough. Aaron Fine was cited yesterday by the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office for negligent motor vehicle homicide, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, speeding greater than reasonable for given conditions and improper operation while approaching a bicycle.

Negligent motor vehicle homicide is a misdemeanor punishable by two-and-a-half years in prison. Fine previously was cited for driving a class B truck without the proper license.

Rose Shatz died after she was hit Saturday.

Fine is a Mansfield police officer. Police Chief Arthur O’Neill says Fine has been suspended with pay while the case is reviewed by the town’s legal department.
