The Villager: Ride for cyclists killed in 2006
On Sun., Jan. 7, cyclists will ride to the crash site of each of the 14 cyclists known to have been killed on the streets of New York City in 2006, holding a vigil at the white “ghost bike” memorial at each site to mark the deaths. The ride will start at 9 a.m. at the Time’s Up! space at 49 E. Houston St., and travel through the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan, ending at 5:30 p.m. at the Memorial for Unknown Cyclists, at E. Houston and Lafayette Sts.
