The Australian: Teen charged over hit-and-run death
A teenager has been charged with manslaughter over a fatal hit-and-run at Port Douglas, in far north Queensland. Police allege the 18-year-old Port Douglas man was driving the vehicle which hit and killed a 25-year-old female cyclist and injured a male pedestrian on Wharf St in Port Douglas about 2.30am today. He has been bailed to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on July 25.
