UK: Cash help for cycling staff

Cambridge Evening News: Cash help for cycling staff

Company bosses are being urged to encourage staff to cycle to work. They could be in line for a share of £8,000 to spend on cycle stands and shelters and have been invited to apply for the cash offered by Cambridgeshire Travel for Work Partnership. As well as cash, the sixth ‘Take A Stand’, scheme, gives advice on setting up good quality cycle parking.

The scheme, funded jointly by Cambridgeshire County Council and Cambridge City Council last year saw about £8,000 awarded to 10 companies who provided enough secure parking for 222 bikes. Bids for this year’s scheme should be made to project manager Lindsey Rushmore by Friday, September 28, on (01223) 712455 or on info@tfw.org.uk
