ABC Online: Police continue probe into fatal hit-run

Police say scientific examinations will be carried out today as part of an investigation into a fatal hit-and-run in Bundaberg in south-east Queensland. They say a 44-year-old cyclist was killed instantly when she was hit by a car while riding her bike down Targo Street at 7:00pm AEST on Saturday.

It is alleged the driver of a green hatchback momentarily stopped and then sped off without attempting to help the woman. Police questioned and released a 20-year-old Bundaberg man yesterday afternoon.
