Australian Story: Road To Nowhere
February 2012: This week's season opener is about a woman taking on some of the most powerful institutions in her home state - and changing the way things are done. It started when her husband went out for a bike ride and never returned.
Since then, Di Gilcrist has helped instigate two criminal trials, a royal commission and a legal conduct hearing, earning praise for her determination and courage. But she still hasn't achieved the one thing she wants most. She's telling her story for the first time.

The acquittal of Craig and Eugene McGee in the District Court of South Australia of a Charge of Conspiracy to Pervert the Cause of Justice clearly exposes serious defects in the law in this country concerning the death of vulnerable road users and the ability of those with knowledge and experience of the law to fully exploit the system to avoid responsibility for their actions beyond a smack on the wrists.
